Hypnotherapy (HYP200)
Hypnotherapy training for less directive / more permissive uncovering strategies
This is a program for healthy people seeking to improve some aspect of their lives.
“Hypnosis is a therapy of the people, for the people, by the people.“ (Mark Gilboyne, aka Gil Boyne, 1987)
”It is an education-communication process by which the conscious and subconscious hold congruent message.s” (Anne Spencer, 1988)
This is the second of a four part Human Development series for hypnotherapy training. . This section is intended to continue developing your awareness of effective direct suggestion and expand into a permissive inquiry regarding the body / mind connection. It involves enhanced learning skills, decision making processes, uncovering techniques, future pacing / accelerated change. The goal is overcoming obstacles to self improvement, personal growth and development.
The four programs are: Basic Hypnosis (HYP100), Hypnotherapy (HYP200), Advanced Hypnotherapy (HYP301 medical / healing applications and HYP302 spiritual / multicultural applications) and Hypnoanalysis (HYP400).
Certification with the International Medical and Dental Hypnotherapy Assocation (IMDHA) has a 220 hour requirement, 150 of which are live in person or online.

Course Requirements for Hypnotherapy (HYP200) (live attendance)
Attend the online 6 Day training on Airmeet:
Saturdays 10:30– 8:30p
- Practice the techniques demonstrated.
- Do the homework assignments.
- Participate in class discussions, and give feedback regarding your experiences with the practice sessions (both giving and receiving).
- Give an informal oral presentation on how you intend to apply Hypnotherapy in your profession or life, on the last day.
Optional: Take the exam to accumulate hours toward certification with the International Medical and Dental Hypnotherapy Association (IMDHA).
The first part of each day will include a brief summary from each participant about what each person hopes to achieve with this class, and feedback about what one is learning.
Each day you will practice being a hypnotist and a hypnosis volunteer.
After an exercise is demonstrated, practice with cohorts and volunteers. This material is best learned by practicing. Plan to practice with as many different people as you can find willing to engage in this natural psychoeducational process of learning, growth, and development, so that you can observe different responses.
After each practice session, we will reconvene as a group to share our experiences, questions, and insights. Plan to be done no later than 8:30 p.m. on Saturdays.
Every Thursday morning 10:30 to 11:30a there is a Jam Session by invitation for practice and hours of live contact that can be applied to certification hours. The Jams are available for open practice of any techniques you didn’t complete or understand during the class, questions and answers for any material that is unclear for you, for another group experience, and individual practice demonstrations.
CAVEAT! Do not put yourself out to be a healer, the gift of healing is a gift from the Divine. You are jumper cable to help another person reconnect with his or her own inner wisdom, the innate gifts of the Divine are available to all who seek within.
